The Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued a warning of rain and thunderstorms in 26 states of the country including Madhya Pradesh and Uttar Pradesh today. An orange alert for thunderstorms and rain has been issued in the western part of Rajasthan and a yellow alert in the eastern part. The IMD has also issued a warning of hailstorms in UP and Bihar. At the same time, there will be heavy rains in some parts of South India and Northeast states.
