In a series of unfolding events in Karnataka, former JDS MP Prajwal Revanna has been accused by multiple women of sexual harassment and criminal intimidation. The latest complaint, filed by a homemaker seeking school admissions for her son, alleges that Revanna engaged her in forced virtual sex via video calls between October 2019 and 2020. According to the complaint, Revanna threatened to withhold assistance regarding her son’s admission unless she complied.

This fourth FIR against Prajwal Revanna comes amidst a broader investigation by the Special Investigation Team (SIT) into similar allegations by other women. The complainant also named former BJP MLA Preetham Gowda and two others for distributing compromising images, which damaged her and her family’s reputation.

In a separate but related development, Prajwal Revanna’s elder brother, Suraj Revanna, has been arrested on charges of forcing unnatural sex on two men, including a JDS party worker. Suraj Revanna, an MLC and son of former minister HD Revanna, faces allegations of sexual assault and is scheduled to undergo a potency test as part of the ongoing investigation.

The SIT has indicated that these latest complaints will bolster their case against the Revanna brothers, potentially encouraging more victims to come forward. The incidents have reverberated politically, particularly in Hassan, where Prajwal Revanna lost in recent elections.
