An intriguing turn of events saw a 70-year-old single man receive the shock of his life when he discovered via a DNA test that he was the father of a daughter.
“Has anyone ever taken a DNA test and found something completely shocking?” was the question posed on Quora. Kathleen Collard responded, “Yes, a good friend had quite a shock,” to this.
“He (is) 70 years old, single, and discovered that he had a child,” she revealed. He got pregnant with the mother through a high school girlfriend, but he was unaware of the pregnancy or the fact that she had placed the child for adoption.
“He met his daughter 50 years later when she did a DNA test as had my friend’s brother. Thus, shortly after her biological father, she discovered her uncle in this manner,” she remarked.
According to accounts, the 70-year-old initially objected to having his DNA tested; however, he eventually complied at a friend’s request and discovered his entire family. Since then, the elderly man has been in touch with his family, loving and enjoying learning about his new family, their lives, interests and experiences.
