Speculation intensified after reports surfaced that Michelle Obama would not attend the inauguration of U.S. President-elect Donald Trump on January 20. Her office clarified that “Former President Barack Obama is confirmed to attend the 60th Inaugural Ceremonies. Former First Lady Michelle Obama will not attend the upcoming inauguration.”
