In a shocking incident, Bollywood actor Saif Ali Khan sustained stab injuries during an attempted burglary at his Bandra residence in Mumbai. The actor was rushed to Lilavati Hospital in the early hours of Thursday morning, where he underwent surgery and is now reported to be out of danger.
A statement issued by Saif’s team assured fans of his stable condition: “Saif Ali Khan has come out of surgery and is out of danger. He is currently in recovery, and the doctors are monitoring his progress. All family members are safe, and the police are investigating the incident. We would like to thank Dr. Niraj Uttamani, Dr. Nitin Dange, Dr. Leena Jain, and the team at Lilavati Hospital. Thank you to all his fans and well-wishers for their prayers and thoughts during this time.”
According to Dr. Niraj Uttamani, Chief Operating Officer at Lilavati Hospital, the actor sustained six stab wounds, two of which were deep, with one located near his spine. He was brought to the hospital around 3:30 AM and was immediately treated by a team of specialists.
Saif Ali Khan’s wife, actress Kareena Kapoor Khan, also issued a statement earlier in the day, clarifying that the rest of the family is safe: “There was an attempted burglary in Saif Ali Khan and Kareena Kapoor Khan’s residence last night. Saif had an injury on his arm, for which he is in hospital, undergoing a procedure. The rest of the family is doing fine. We request media and fans to be patient and not speculate further as the police are already conducting their investigation.”
Several Bollywood celebrities, including Shah Rukh Khan, director Siddharth Anand, and Saif’s children Ibrahim Ali Khan and Sara Ali Khan, were spotted visiting Lilavati Hospital to check on his condition. The incident has left the film industry in shock, with stars like Chiranjeevi, Jr. NTR, and Neil Nitin Mukesh expressing their concern and wishing Saif a speedy recovery.
The attempted burglary, which turned violent, has raised questions about security for prominent personalities in the city. Mumbai Police are currently investigating the case to apprehend the perpetrators.
