The Diocese of Lucknow (Church of North India) oversees Bishop Johnson Girls High School in Prayagraj, Uttar Pradesh. On Tuesday, there was a stir about allegations that followers of Bishop Morris Edgar Dan physically removed Parul Solomon, the current principal, from her position.

The incident—which was caught on camera and extensively shared on social media—shows a group entering the principal’s chamber under the direction of a lawyer. She was forcibly removed by the group, and a new principal was put in her place.

Parul Solomon reported the altercation to the Colonelganj police station after it had happened. Solomon filed a complaint alleging that Bishop Morris Edgar Dan and his allies had engaged in misconduct, intimidation, and looting during the event.
