Kangana Ranaut is prepared to take her career on a new path. After winning the Mandi Lok Sabha seat, the four-time national award-winning actor turned politician is prepared to work as an active politician. Kangana posted images from her car on Instagram stories, showing her saying goodbye to her mother Asha Ranaut before heading to Delhi.

Three images were posted by Kangana on her Instagram stories. Her hair was pulled back in a bun, and she wore a purple-pink saree, black sunglasses, and a purple blouse. In the first photo, she wrote, “Delhi calling.” She is seen giving mother Asha a hug in the second picture while Asha smiles. “On my way to the parliament…Mandi Ki Sansad (The Member of Parliament from Mandi)” is what she wrote on her selfie in the third picture.

In Mandi, Kangana defeated Vikramaditya Singh, the Congress candidate, by 74,755 votes. Against Vikramaditya’s 462,267 votes, she received 537,002 votes. Kangana was elected to the Lok Sabha for the first time as a politician in 2024. In March 2024, she was announced as the Mandi BJP candidate. The MP thanked the electorate on Instagram following her election victory, writing, “Heartfelt gratitude to all the people of Mandi for this love and trust… This victory belongs to all of you, this is the victory of your trust in Prime Minister Modi and BJP, this is the victory of Sanatan and in the honour of Mandi.”
