‘We Are Lady Parts’, a British sitcom, features a cameo from Nobel Peace Prize winner Malala Yousafzai in its second season. Since its release, her first appearance from the TV show has generated a lot of buzz on social media. It depicts Ms. Yousafzai riding a horse and donning a cowboy hat. The Express Tribune reports that ‘Malala Made Me Do It,’ the episode with the 26-year-old, stars Anjana Vasan, Lucie Shorthouse, Juliette Motamed, Sarah Kameela Impey, and Faith Omole.
Season 2 of the show follows a band as they attempt to record their first album while dealing with obstacles from a rival band and eviction.
The band’s vocalist’s daughter is expelled from school in the second episode for hurling eggs at her teacher. The storyline centers on the removal of slavery from the curriculum.
“I followed Malala’s lead. Imani tells her mother, “You know she fights for girls’ education every day,” according to a Mashable India report.
It quotes Malala as saying, “Malala would not throw eggs at Mr. Appleby, Imani!”
The group then writes a song called “Malala Made Me Do It,” which emphasizes their hardships. Moreover, Ms. Yousafzai makes an appearance on a phony horse during the song in a fantasy sequence while donning a stunning blue dress and a bejeweled, fringed cowboy hat over a dupatta.
