Aussie MP Brittany Lauga Alleges Drugging and Sexual Assault

In a shocking revelation, Queensland Labor Party Member of Parliament Brittany Lauga has come forward with allegations of being drugged and sexually assaulted in the town of Yeppoon.

Lauga reported the incident to the authorities in the early hours of Sunday morning, stating that tests conducted at the hospital confirmed the presence of drugs in her system which she did not ingest. Describing the impact of the substance as significant, Lauga emphasized the severity of the situation, stating that several other women in Yeppoon have reached out to her with similar experiences.

Expressing gratitude for the support received, Lauga highlighted the necessity of being able to socialize without fear of such incidents. She urged anyone with information relevant to the investigation to come forward to the police.

The case took a disturbing turn with the emergence of a purported video of the assault circulating online. Lauga became aware of the video after reporting the assault to the authorities. The Queensland Police Service confirmed that they are investigating a sexual assault complaint related to the incident in Yeppoon.

Queensland Premier Steven Miles conveyed unwavering support for Lauga, emphasizing her well-being as the priority. He pledged the government’s full backing and assistance to Lauga during this challenging time. Housing Minister Meaghan Scanlon echoed Miles’ sentiments, describing Lauga’s statement as deeply troubling and assuring her of full support during her recovery.
