In a shocking incident that has sent shockwaves through the community, a barber in Badaun, Uttar Pradesh, stands accused of brutally murdering two children while critically injuring another. The perpetrator, identified as Sajid, allegedly perpetrated the heinous act in the Baba Colony area of Badaun. The incident, which occurred on Tuesday evening, has since led to an intense outcry among residents.

According to reports, Sajid, who operated a barbershop opposite the victims’ residence and was known to their father, Vinod, entered the victims’ house under the pretext of seeking tea. Upon the mother’s departure to prepare tea, Sajid ascended to the terrace where the three children—Aayush (13), Ahaan (7), and Piyush (6)—were playing. Armed with a sharp-edged weapon, he mercilessly attacked the boys, fatally slitting the throats of Aayush and Ahaan, while Piyush sustained minor injuries.

Allegations of prior disputes between Sajid and Vinod’s family have surfaced among locals, suggesting a possible motive behind the gruesome act. Despite swift police intervention, enraged residents initially prevented authorities from retrieving the children’s bodies, and Sajid’s shop fell victim to arson by the furious mob.

In response to the incident, law enforcement swiftly launched a manhunt, resulting in an encounter where Sajid was killed. The police recovered the murder weapon and a revolver, with ongoing efforts to apprehend Sajid’s brother, Javed, who was allegedly involved in the crime. According to statements from the victims’ family, the accused had demanded a sum of Rs 5,000 from Vinod prior to the tragedy.

In the wake of this tragic event, Vinod Kumar expressed bewilderment, stating, “We had no interaction with them before. We are unaware as to why this happened…” Meanwhile, authorities in Badaun have stepped up security measures, conducting a flag march to reassure the community and maintain order.
