Jammu: The first batch of pilgrims for the annual Amarnath Yatra has departed from Jammu under tight security arrangements. Authorities have permitted entry only to devotees with valid registrations. Meanwhile, Uttarakhand’s Char Dham pilgrimage continues to witness a huge turnout, with over 14.5 lakh devotees visiting Badrinath and more than 13.75 lakh pilgrims offering prayers at Kedarnath this season.
