NEW DELHI: The Election Commission of India (ECI) is set to announce the schedule for the 2026 Assembly elections in West Bengal, Assam, Tamil Nadu, Kerala, and Puducherry today at 4 PM. The terms of these legislative assemblies are due to expire in May and June. With the announcement at Vigyan Bhawan, the Model Code of Conduct will come into immediate effect, marking the start of high-stakes political battles across these regions.
