The festival of Diwali is being celebrated with great enthusiasm across the country today. In Goa, people celebrated Diwali by burning a large effigy of the demon Narakasura to symbolize Lord Krishna’s victory over evil. The effigy was burned in Panaji this morning. President Draupadi Murmu and Prime Minister Narendra Modi also extended their greetings to the nation.
