CM Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu has declared the state as a disaster-hit state in the assembly. 5 national highways including the Chandigarh-Manali four-lane and about 800 roads are closed. Schools and colleges are closed on Monday in 10 districts including Kullu. The situation is bad due to heavy rains in Himachal, Punjab, Haryana, Uttarakhand and Jammu and Kashmir in North India.
