The Sports Ministry has nominated the names of five players for Padma awards. Four of these players, Manu Bhaker, Sarabjot Singh, Swapnil Kushale and Aman Sehrawat are medalists of Paris Olympics. One name is of the current world champion of chess, D. Gukesh. These names have been sent to the Padma Awards Committee by the Ministry.
