In Manipur, the CBI has arrested Karan Singh, leader of the Meitei organisation Arambai Tengole, and some members. Earlier, violence broke out late Saturday night after the news of their arrest spread. In many areas of the capital Imphal, protesters set vehicles on fire, and also burnt tyres and old furniture on the roads. Protesters also tried to burn themselves by pouring petrol on themselves.
