The 16-year-old IIT-JEE candidate’s body was found in Rajasthan’s Chambal valley on Tuesday night, days after he went missing. After a rigorous nine-day search, the body was found, the police announced on Monday.
Madhya Pradesh JEE candidate Rachit Sondhiya went missing on February 11. In a security camera video, the student was last seen entering the forest area close to the Garadiya Mahadev temple. It is said that the student left his dorm under the guise of an exam.
The teen’s body was found in a remote and unreachable area of the Chambal Valley, according to the police.
Following their son’s more than week-long isolation, Rachit’s parents posted posters asking people to assist them in tracking him down. They even made contact with Madan Dilawar, the minister of education, asking for his help with the situation.
A resident of Uttar Pradesh, another student in Kota,Piyush Kapasia, has gone missing since last week. He had been living in a hostel in Indra Vihar, Kota, for the last two years when he went missing on February 13.
