A vehicle plowed into a crowd of hundreds of people gathered at a traditional festival being celebrated by the Filipino community in Vancouver and ran them over. Nine people are reported to have died and dozens injured in the accident. Canadian Prime Minister Mark Carney, British Columbia Premier David Abbey and the city’s Mayor Ken Sim have expressed their condolences over the unfortunate incident.
