Suitcase with body parts found in Surajkund forest, Police suspect links with Shraddha Murder Case
Faridabad Police on Friday, November 25, contacted Delhi Police after a suitcase with body parts inside was found in a forest area in Surajkund yesterday. It’ll be sent for post-mortem. Faridabad Police say samples will be kept aside, in case Delhi Police want to go for a DNA test.
Earlier, in November 2020, a year and a half before Shraddha Walkar was allegedly killed on May 18, 2022, by live-in partner Aaftab Poonawala in Delhi, she had given a complaint at the Tulinj police station in Vasai, stating that Aftab Poonawala had been thrashing her for six months and had even tried to kill her by suffocating her.
Ms Walkar had also accused him of trying to blackmail her and threatening to cut her into pieces.
In her written complaint to the Vasai police, Shraddha had also claimed that Mr Poonawala’s parents were aware of his violent behaviour towards her as they visited them at times on weekends.

Poonawala allegedly strangled his live-in partner Walkar (27) and sawed her body into 35 pieces which he kept in a 300-litre fridge for almost three weeks at his residence in South Delhi’s Mehrauli before dumping them across the city over several days past midnight.
Poonawala has to undergo a set of tests to ascertain his emotional, mental, physiological and psychological well-being. The narco analysis cannot be conducted if he is found to be “disturbed” in the preliminary tests. On Tuesday, Poonawala had undergone the first session of the polygraph test, also known as the lie detector test, at FSL, Rohini.
