India Become World No.1 In ODI Format After Series Sweep Against New Zealand

India defeated New Zealand by 90 runs in the third and final ODI match at Holkar Cricket Stadium in Indore on Tuesday. With the victory, Rohit Sharma’s team are now the best side in white-ball cricket, placing themselves in the top of the rankings in T20I and ODI formats, replacing England. India clean swept the guests in the three-match series.

In a an exciting partnership, Rohit Sharma (101 off 85 balls) and Shubman Gill (112 off 78 balls) starred with their respective centuries as India posted a humongous score of 385 runs. Sharma broke his ODI century drought and notched up his first one since January 2020. 

In the other side, Devon Conway (138 off 100 balls) was the lone fighter as the guests were bundled out for 295 runs.

India is ranked in the second position in Test Match, behind Australia.
