“God Will See Him”: Woman wrestler on Delhi cop’s cheating case against her

A national-level woman wrestler, who is accused of cheating a cop of over Rs 50 lakh, has shared a video online rubbishing the allegations against her.

“This is my last video. Forgive me I don’t have the courage to tolerate any more. God will see him. He will be punished for his deeds,” wrestler Raunak Gulia wrote alongside the video.

She and her husband Ankit Gulia were accused of defrauding Deepak Sharma, an assistant superintendent at Tihar Jail, of RS 50 lakh under the guise of investing in a health product firm.

Gulia dismissed the accusation as “lies” in her video. She claimed that the FIR filed against her was “false” and that she was not hiding. “If there is any evidence against me, come and arrest me,” according to the FIR, she pleaded.

Sharma allegedly invested ₹ 50 lakh in the Gulias’ business, lured by their promises of huge profits, but they later refused to return his money.

The Tihar jailor then filed a complaint based on which a cheating case was registered.

In his complaint, Sharma claimed that he had met Raunak Gulia, a national and state champion wrestler, while watching the Discovery Channel reality show “India’s Ultimate Warrior.”

Rounak Gulia informed Sharma that the couple was seeking investors and that her wrestler husband Ankit is a renowned health product businessman. Deepak Sharma was persuaded to invest 50 lakh in the Gulias’ company by their assurances of enormous returns. They eventually declined to give him his money back.

Deepak Sharma and Rounak Gulia each have a considerable following on social media. Sharma, also a fitness enthusiast and influencer, is frequently compared to Salman Khan’s character in the Bollywood film “Dabangg”. Gulia on the orher hand has close to 4.4 lakh Instagram followers.
