Ex-Pak PM Imran Khan Jailed despite Islamabad HC suspending his sentence
Even as the Islamabad High Court today suspended Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Chairman Imran Khan’s sentence awarded to him in the Toshakhana case, he still continues to be behind the bars as he has been sent to custody in another case.
Today, the High Court announced the short verdict that it reserved a day earlier wherein it directed the authorities to release the former Pakistan prime minister and PTI chief on bail.

However, a special court recently established to hear cases under the Official Secrets Act has directed the Attock Jail authorities — where the former premier is incarcerated — to keep Imran in “judicial lockup” and produce him on Aug 30 in connection with the cipher case.
Imran Khan is accused of misusing a confidential diplomatic cable (cipher) for political purposes when he was the premier of Pakistan.
