BJP accuses AAP and Congress of demonstrating double standards

The Bharatiya Janata Party today accused the Congress party of indulging in double standards. BJP national general secretary Tarun Chugh lambasted the Punjab Congress for its political double standards which, he said, was more than clear after the Congress decided to support the AAP on the issue of Delhi ordinance.

Chugh said the Congress had been always behaving like the B team of AAP and now the cat is out of the bag with the secret understanding that both the parties have been fooling people of Punjab.

He said it was time their hoax on the people was broken as it is clear now that the corruption cases against the Congress leaders are also simply an eyewash. He said there have been reports that all Congress leaders facing corruption charges would be let off honourably before the Lok Sabha elections.

The senior BJP leader claimed that the leaders of the two parties have been also holding secret meetings on sharing of Lok Sabha seats in the coming elections.

Meanwhile, the BJP national general secretary supported Punjab Governor Banwari Lal Purohit for terming the Assembly session called by the CM Bhagwant Mann government as illegal as it violated all constitutional procedures and norms.

He said the AAP government in Delhi and Punjab have been consistently confronting the Constitutional authorities which clearly indicated their anarchist tendencies.
