Assam’s Longest Flyover in Guwahati to Feature Sporting Complex

As August draws to a close, Assam is set to welcome its longest flyover in the capital city of Guwahati. Adding to the city’s skyline, this seventh road flyover complements the existing five railway flyovers, which have become iconic symbols of connectivity in the region. However, one railway overpass stands out as a unique and innovative addition.

Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma inaugurated an 8,330m long railway flyover in Jorhat, the tea capital of Assam. What sets this flyover apart is its integration of a state-of-the-art sporting complex beneath the bridge. This novel concept marks the first of its kind in the entire northeast region, showcasing Assam’s commitment to utilizing urban space optimally.
