After Hindenburg, another expose on Indian busineess firms: Report
The Organised Crime and Corruption Reporting Project (OCCRP), a group supported by George Soros and the Rockefeller Brothers Fund, is rumored to be planning another ‘expose’ on specific corporate houses in India, sources said, months after a US short seller shocked markets with a damning report on the Adani group.
According to a news report, three sources with knowledge of the situation claimed that OCCRP, which describes itself as “an investigative reporting platform founded by 24 nonprofit investigative centers, spread across Europe, Africa, Asia and Latin America, may publish a report or a series of pieces.
The Open Society Foundations of George Soros, a financier known for supporting radical causes all over the world, are listed as one of the institutional donors on the organization’s website. Ford Foundation, Rockefeller Brothers Fund, and Oak Foundation are a few more.
According to sources, the ‘exposure’ may entail foreign financiers buying corporate house stock.
Although the business house’s identity wasn’t immediately disclosed, authorities are reportedly keeping a close eye on the capital market. Hindenburg Research in a January 24 report alleged fraud, triggering a stock market rout. Adani Group has denied all allegations.
